Title: The Balloon Burglar

I like to call this case “The Balloon Burglar.”I was called to a scene when it sounded like 50 kids were crying. I came in dad’s car, an Aston Martin DB5. I found a kid crying in the corner. I asked what was wrong when the kid told me that a clown gave him a balloon and right when he touched it popped.

So, the clown said he didn’t do anything so when the next kid wanted one it popped as well. Then, a parent came and introduced herself. Her name was Oliva. She claimed to have seen the clown put a tiny device on the balloon. I asked if the clown was any of the people in the crowd and she said the clown had a mask on. Then, I went to the clown’s compartment, and I searched the place. I found the technology that he was using.I noticed fingerprints on the device. I went to get my fingerprint matcher from my vehicle.

If you want to know how fingerprints are matched, read this,”Optical sensors take an image of the fingerprint, and are the most common sensor today. Pattern matching is usually used in fingerprint systems to detect duplicates. The most widely used recognition technique, minutiae-based matching, relies on the minutiae points: specifically the location and direction of each point.”

Now, back to the story, I went and matched fingerprints. Right when I went to a person he started running away. I immediately started chasing him in my car. He was going really fast. He turned the corner so harshly I thought his Ford Mustang was going to burst. My car was faster though and I rammed head on. Luckily, My car was so strong It stopped me from getting hurt. He tried to run but I stopped him in time.

I asked who were you and why did you do this. He said that “my name is Cylde Hyde. I did this because I went to a fair when I was younger and I wanted a balloon but my dad said it was a waste of money. Then 5 years later my sister asked for one and my dad bought her 5!” I thought about what his dad and I noticed that was wrong but I also knew that Cylde didn’t do the right thing either. I arrested him and celebrated for a job well done.
